Liddell-Pederson, Architects
Mark Pederson and Cort Liddell are the founding Partners of the Architectural practice, Liddell-Pederson Architects, begun in 1977 in La Conner Washington. Over 35 years the partners have pursued a design-oriented practice with an emphasis on institutional work for several long term clients including; Skagit Valley College, State of Washington-Department of Ecology-Padilla Bay Interpretive Center and the Swinomish Tribal Community.
In our small office we have maintained a scale of practice allowing for the partners’ active participation in all phases of the work within a traditional full-service Architectural practice. The studio setting of this small practice has enabled a thorough involvement of the two partners and a few coworkers in all phases of over 100 projects, from initial interview through all design work, contract documents and finally, construction administration.
The work of Liddell-Pederson has always focused on intelligent economical use of durable materials, life-cycle costing approach to mechanical, electrical and structural systems. Our Architectural practice has always focused on enhancement of the human experience and enlightened environmentally sensitive sustainable design.
The building in which Cort Liddell and Mark Pederson have practiced architecture is the former home and studio of the renowned northwest coast artist, Guy Anderson.
